Columbus Stop the Bleed Training
A person can die from severe blood loss in less than 5 minutes. Would you know what to do if faced with a life-threatening bleeding emergency? Learn bleeding control skills with First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST), a national STOP THE BLEED® course from the American Red Cross. The course and digital materials will be offered at no charge to high school students under the age of 19! STOP THE BLEED® is offered only in a group format, you can’t register individually for this course. This program can be delivered in a fully in person format or a blended learning format (a blended learning course means your students will do some coursework online at their own pace. Then they will participate in a group skill session in person with an instructor).
Blended Learning Class: About 90 minutes online followed by a 45 minute in person skill session
Fully in Person Class: About 2 hours and 15 minutes
Add On Course: Already taking a First Aid/CPR course with us? We add a “Skill Boost” for Stop The Bleed that take approximately 1.5 hours.
